Downey Products of Logan, Utah, has made its Top Spin and Quick Flip soft tonneau covers available for 2008 Chevrolet/GMC pickups including the Silverado, Sierra, Colorado and Canyon (all cab and box configurations).
Owners will be able to choose how to access their truck bed: by rolling the cover back or flipping it up.
The Top Spin is a top-mount roll-up tonneau that minimizes engagement of the cover's Velcro fabric fastening system until it is ready to be secured, extending the Velcro's lifespan.
A heavy-duty rear rail incorporates a spring-loaded auto latch that engages the rail to lock the cover in place. A pull cord on the cover's underside disengages the latch. The cover can then be secured to the cab rail using an integrated buckle strap, or removed completely using spring-loaded auto latches, when full access to the bed is required.
The Quick Flip is a tri-fold cover that can be opened in seconds by releasing two cam clamps mounted at the rear of the truck bed, sliding them away from the bed rails, then folding back the cover.
The tonneau comes pre-assembled and ready-to-install by aligning four cam clamps with the bed rails (two at the front of the bed, two at the rear), then locking the clamps. No tools are required and there are no extra parts to keep track of.
Both tonneaus feature a tear-proof, UV-coated tri-laminate fabric cover that resists stretching and shrinking in extreme hot and cold weather conditions and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
