Go-15 can be used to reduce the effects of metal-to-metal contact in engines, manual transmissions, differentials, hubs and power-steering systems, by reacting and bonding with metal to create a smooth surface. The new surface is 300 Angstroms, or 3 millionths of an inch thin.

When used in an engine, Go-15 can help the oil to run cooler, and piston rings slide in the bores more easily, the company says. Go-15 can be used in differentials as well, helping the teeth of the pinion slide over the surface of the ring gear with less drag. With Go-15, transmission bearings also last longer, and the power steering pump doesn't have to work as hard. Go-15 can also be used in older engines, as it transforms both raised and pitted surfaces so the lubricant can work as intended.

"Fuel mileage efficiency increased 20 percent from an average of 4.65 mpg to 5.58 mpg," said Don Hearn of Don Hearn & Sons, a Canadian trucking firm, who ran a controlled, two-month study in 12 long-haul trucks. Lab tests showed engine wear was reduced. Oil samples analyzed by Herguth Laboratories, Vallejo, Calif., found wear metals in the oil averaged 64 percent lower after two months of use.

Developed after eight years of research, Go-15 uses a proprietary formula to "repair" metal surfaces. The product can be used with all petroleum-based and synthetic oils in both gas or diesel engines in trucks, construction equipment or cars.
