Multi Service Corp. has teamed up with ADP to integrate OEM national account programs with ADP Dealer Services' Dealer Management Systems using Service Gate.
Multi Service facilitates private label purchasing programs for OEM aftermarket parts in the trucking industry. It designed Service Gate to work with a variety of merchant business systems. ADP will make the interface available to dealers accepting select Multi Service private label cards and accounts.
"To stay profitable, truck dealers must find every process efficiency possible," said Mike Sailor, senior vice president of manufacturing solutions for ADP Dealer Services. "ADP's role is to help them find those opportunities and, by providing integration of our ADP DMS to Service Gate, we can deliver on that goal."
Using Service Gate, ADP DMS merchants will have the opportunity to interface directly with Multi Service Corporation. Through the interface, users can automate price verification, invoice authorization and submission, as well as reconcile accounts receivable information for program transactions.
When Service Gate is fully integrated, invoice details are sent directly to Multi Service. Then, Multi Service systems audit dealer pricing, correct overcharges, and send accurate prices back to the ADP system. Merchant business systems communicate directly to request invoice authorizations. Multi Service systems perform credit verifications and cross-check customer-specific purchase requirements before conveying approvals to the merchants in real time.
Merchant business systems gather together finalized transactions and submit them through Service Gate to Multi Service for processing. Service Gate will also enable ADP systems to request electronic remittance information from Multi Service, so dealers may post remittance information directly to their accounts receivable without manual entry.
"Service Gate has significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to authorize transactions and submit customer invoices," said Charlet Gordon of General Truck Sales. "Choosing to implement Service Gate was the obvious decision for our dealership. Integration has been seamless, and it has improved our ability to serve our customers more quickly and efficiently."
Multi Service and ADP are currently working on a pilot of the Service Gate integration and will make the interface available to dealers over the next six months.
