Mac Trailer Offers Safety Handrails on Pneumatic Tank

Mac Trailer, manufacturer of specialty dump, flatbed and transfer trailers, has added a retractable set of handrails as a safety option to its new PneuMactic tank trailer.

The tubular aluminum handrails are operated by an air valve located in front of the rear fenders. When lowered, the rails are locked into a position that is lower than the height of the manholes. When the rails are raised, the brakes on the trailer are automatically locked to prevent any movement.

The feature is also offered as a retrofit kit for all existing trailer makes.
