FreightWatch International has released the new Geo F1 Tracker, which it says is the smallest wireless covert tracking device on the market
. The tracker is based on Qualcomm's inGeo platform and brought to market by FreightWatch.
"FreightWatch's Geo F1 Tracker is entirely covert and the most advanced covert tracking device the market has seen yet," said Barry Conlon, president, FreightWatch International. "No longer do companies have to rely on merely recovering a load after it is stolen, but with the FreightWatch web-based tracking end-to-end solution that includes the F1, companies can confidently prevent cargo theft rather than just recover stolen loads."
The Geo F1 Tracker is slightly longer than a large paperclip, FreightWatch says, and features real-time active reporting with web-based monitoring. It uses a combination of GPS and cellular signals. The system works outdoors, indoors and through secure containers.
The Geo F1 Tracker also allows for increased supply chain efficiencies. "It allows for a better view into and more control of the entire supply chain," said Richard Booth, vice president of business development at FreightWatch.
