Fontaine Expands Revolution Line
Fontaine Trailer launched two new versions of its Revolution flatbed trailer during the Technology and Maintenance Council meeting in Orlando, Fla., this week

Drivers can just slide the modular chain tie-downs into position to safely secure their load.
The Revolution Hybrid composite trailer (pictured) weighs 9,000 pounds and handles a 55,000-pound load concentrated into 4 feet. The trailer features steel main beams combined with an extruded aluminum floor for added strength and support at a lower overall weight.
The Revolution aluminum trailer weighs 8,000 pounds and handles a 60,000-pound load concentrated in 4 feet.
Both the hybrid and the aluminum Revolution trailers feature a sleek, aerodynamic shape that offers "a drag coefficient never before achieved on a flatbed trailer," according to the company. A unitized design uses friction-stir welding, technology borrowed from the aerospace industry, to add strength while reducing weight to give bigger payloads and more miles per gallon.
On both versions, a patent-pending one-piece extruded aluminum siderail withstands impact damage better than steel siderails. An exclusive LED lighting package reduces the number of electrical connections by more than 60 percent for improved reliability.
An integrated load securement system makes loading and unloading faster, safer and driver friendly. Modular chain tie-downs slide in grooves that are built into the floor. You can position the tie-downs virtually anywhere on the deck to secure loads faster and easier with improved safety.
