EnerSys added the Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery, a modification of the Odyssey 34-PC1500 battery with reversed terminal polarity.

The Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery is most notably suitable for Automotive/LTV and Heavy Duty/Fleet applications that require batteries with reversed terminal configuration. In addition, the Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery can be used with a spacer to fit BCI sizes 24F, 24R and 27F.

"The Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery allows us to broaden our capabilities for applications and provide more availability to our consumer base," said Dave McMullen, director of marketing for EnerSys.

"Now that we have product available for applications that require these specialty batteries, we look forward to continuing Odyssey Battery's presence in this segment of the market."

The Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery is a 12-Volt drycell battery with cold cranking amps (CCA) of 880. It also offers 135 minutes of reserve capacity and a deep cycle capability of 400 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge. Additionally, the Odyssey 34R-PC1500 comes with a 4-year warranty.
