CEI Group now offers education to commercial drivers on U.S. federal hours of service regulations and correct log book procedures through its DriverCare Web-Based Training product.
The training site includes 25- to 30-minute lessons, including "Hours of Service: Understanding Regulations" and "Driver Logs: Recording Your Time." Drivers can interact during each lesson, with an illustrated and narrated script, exercises and a final exam. After completing a lesson and passing the test, a driver can download and print out a certificate.
DriverCare Web-Based Training's lesson library consists of more than 20 lessons that teach defensive driving techniques and other vehicle safety practices to drivers of sedans, SUVs and light-duty to heavy-duty trucks. Lessons can be purchased in quantity by fleets or singly by private, individual drivers.
