, the company says.

"Sulfation is 80 percent the cause of lead-acid batteries failures," said Rick Kleintop, chief engineer for EcoTecPower. While sulfation causes lead-acid batteries to deteriorate and lose conductivity, ETP works to dissolve sulfation from the plates to provide a better current among the lead plates or electrodes inside the battery.

According to tests, the product can bring batteries back to 85 to 90 percent capacity of a new battery. Using the solution will also cut back on the number of batteries filling up landfills, which harm the environment.

"In a perfect world, ETP can reduce by 50 percent the disposal (incinerated or land-filled) of lead-acid batteries which harm our environment," said E.J. White, national sales manager for EcoTecPower.
