Aljex Software, Middlesex, N.J., announced enhancements to its Transportation Intermediaries Network (TIN) application for dispatch and transportation management.
TIN is a user-friendly TMS (Transportation Management System) for 3PLs and brokers that is accessed over the Internet. Aljex is a provider of management software for freight brokers, carriers, logistics companies and other transportation providers.
The TIN working screen includes a map showing truck and pickup locations. The first upgrade enables users to see operational problems and potential problems displayed; the second co-ordinates loads on the map with shipment and customer information. The enhancements enable users to manage the screen display of their loads for a clear understanding of work flow and what actions need to be taken next.
Since TIN is hosted over the Internet, the new upgrades are already available to all TIN subscribers. They can be previewed at the Aljex web site under "demo."
"We constantly upgrade our hosted applications. We implement upgrades as soon as they are tested and secure. Customers do not need to install updates or pause their operations at all," said Tom Heine, president of Aljex.
These TIN software upgrades have been implemented and in use by TIN users since mid-June.
