Aljex Launches Inbound 3PL Broker Service
Aljex Software has launched Aljex Inbound, a hosted service that allows 3PL brokers to facilitate and control their shippers' inbound freight moves

The tool links shippers and suppliers with their 3PL, so that all three can share information and connect in one place. In order to do this, a 3PL broker sets up limited password access for a customer and its vendors, eliminating time they might spend on the phone exchanging information.
Some of the software's functions include uploading active purchase order numbers, automatically validating the purchase order and filling in basic shipment information, vendor editing as things change and emailing to the customer when orders are ready.
Through the service, customers can log in any time to check vendor updates, edit quantities, change destinations and set delivery appointments. The software sends shipment information to the user's Aljex account, other transportation management system or directly to carriers. Carrier 214 EDI keeps the customer and vendor up to date on shipment progress, and all activities are always visible to the 3PL.
Aljex Inbound is available as a service separate from the Aljex transportation management system. However, users of both systems will be able to integrate the two.
