Meritor announced that several of its products have been selected as standard position and preferred options on all Wabash National dry and refrigerated van trailers after signing a three-year agreement with the company.

The agreement takes effect on Jan. 1, 2019, and positions Meitor’s loose axles as standard equipment on the aforementioned Wabash trailers. The Meritor Tire Inflation System has also been selected as the preferred automatic tire inflation. Meritor air disc brakes, Meritor Trailing-Arm suspension, hubs, drums and slack adjusters, and the company’s new MTec6 large-diameter axle are optional in all Wabash configurations.

“We greatly value Wabash as a long-term customer,” said Dave Pritchard, general manager, Trailer for Meritor. “We appreciate Wabash selecting Meritor for this important business and look forward to beginning this new phase of our relationship.”

Meritor has a 30 year history with Wabash, supplying a variety of trailer axle and braking systems to one of the largest manufacturers of trailers for van and vocational configurations across multiple applications.
