Trillium CNG and E-Z Mart Stores opened a public access, Class-8 accessible compressed natural gas fueling station at the E-Z Mart Convenience Store and Truck Stop in Monroe, La. The new station is the first of its kind in Monroe and is located on Highway 394 just off of Interstate 20.
The public access CNG station has easy access for heavy-duty fleets and will serve as the primary CNG fueling station for Paper Transport Inc. A dual-hose dispenser will allow two trucks to fuel at the same time and will feature Trillium’s proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor.
The station is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and accepts all major credit cards and fleet cards.
New guidance allows engine makers to replace problematic DEF sensors with NOx-based systems, aiming to reduce unnecessary derates and downtime caused by failures in the sensors designed to monitor diesel exhaust fluid on trucks.
