Heavy Duty Trucking is seeking nominations for its 2023 Safety & Compliance Award, which recognizes a trucking executive who has demonstrated excellence in fleet safety.

The award, sponsored by J.J.Keller, is open to individuals in leadership positions in safety, risk management, human resources, and similar areas at trucking fleets.

We are looking for nominees who have shown leadership, innovation, and measurable results while enhancing the safety of their drivers and others sharing the road with them.

The HDT Safety & Compliance Award winner for 2023 will be honored during the Fleet Safety Conference track of the Fleet Forward Conference, Nov. 8-10, 2023, at the Marriott Santa Clara in California.

The Fleet Safety Conference is joining forces with the Fleet Forward Conference, and will feature engaging sessions on topics such as leveraging telematics data to increase safety, reducing fleet risk, driver safety, autonomous vehicle safety, and more.

The Safety & Compliance Award winner also will be featured in the November/December issue of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine and on the Truckinginfo.com website.

You may nominate yourself or others. Deadline is Sept. 15.

Meet Carol Heinowski, winner of HDT's Safety & Compliance Award for 2022

Carol Heinowski worked as a safety investigator for the FMCSA for about 20 years and learned the good, the bad, and the ugly of how safe trucking fleets are. That knowledge proved valuable in her role as logistics manager, safety and compliance, at Meijer Logistics.

Meet Donielle Dziedzic, winner of HDT's Safety & Compliance Award for 2021

Donielle Dziedzic came to her trucking safety career via a somewhat unusual route. With an environmental biology degree, she spent 20 years in the environmental consulting industry before moving into leadership roles at A. Duie Pyle.
