The software included in the EKA Omni-TMS — a native cloud-based software-as-a-service freight management “ecosystem” for carriers, brokers and shippers — provides carriers and dispatch managers with recommendations for load dispatch. The software utilizes a real-time simulation of assets and considers available truck-to-load permutations, certifications, customer load service level requirements and priorities, as well as driver constraints and preferences, EKA Solutions officials said in an email.
"The digital fleet software solution is designed to enable a truckload carrier of any size to significantly improve its operating ratio by automatically and optimally matching all available loads to driver and equipment assets and, therefore, allowing fleet managers to focus on dispatch exceptions and drivers,” JJ Singh, found and CEO of EKA Solutions, said in a press release. “The result is much higher asset utilization, maximum loaded miles per truck per week and increased driver satisfaction.”
The software will be tested with a select number of truckload carriers that are current and prospect EKA Carrier TMS customers beginning in third-quarter 2021.
