Kenworth has added a remote, keyless entry system as an option for the Kenworth T680 and T880. The option is available on new trucks but can also be fitted to existing models with a retrofit kit.

Kenworth’s remote keyless entry provides two key fobs programmed to lock and unlock doors. A single click will unlock the driver’s side door and a double click opens both cab doors.

Both doors are locked with a single click from the second button and a third button allows operators to enable and disable the pre-trip light check without entering the cab. Retrofit kits for T680 and T880 trucks are available from a Kenworth dealer.
