Yokohama Tire will launch three new commercial truck tires in booth 3923 at the upcoming Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) show in Atlanta, Georgia, February 24-26. The company will be displaying its all-position 504C and 115R tires, as well as its urban pick-up/delivery 714R tire.
Yokohama will also debut expanded sizes for the 715R open shoulder regional drive tire and the 114R regional haul ultra-wide-base trailer tire.
All told, Yokohama said it will display a total of 14 tires at the show, including light-truck and off-the-road products.
The 504C, which is manufactured in Yokohama’s plant in West Point, Mississippi, is an all-position radial engineered with a sturdy undertread to handle the punishment of on-and-off-highway applications, the company said.
“Its improved retreadability and longer overall casing life make it the perfect performer for jobs that go beyond where the pavement ends,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial and OTR product planning. The 504C, which replaces the MY507, will be available in May in sizes 11R22.5 (H) and 11R24.5 (H).
The 714R features durable construction and outstanding fuel efficiency, making it the perfect addition to any pickup and delivery fleet. “With its wide shoulder grooves, which provide outstanding wet and snow traction, you’ll never miss a stop,” added Clauer.
The 714R will be available this summer in sizes 225/70R19.5 (14) and 245/70R19.5 (16).
Also debuting this summer, according to Clauer, is the 115R, which he called a tough, all-season/all-position tire, “built to provide class 4 and 5 vehicles with superior year-round traction and dependability to get the job done,” he noted. “It’s engineered with a heat-resistant compound for better fuel efficiency and longer lasting tread. Plus, it has an N speed rating (87 mph). The 115R will be initially be available in a 225/70R19.5 (14).”
New sizes for the 715R – Yokohama’s SmartWay Verified open shoulder regional drive tire – are available now in 295/75R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5. Manufactured in Mississippi, the deep-tread, fuel-efficient 715R is already available in 11R22.5.
The SmartWay verified 114R UWB, which Yokohama said is a super fuel-efficient, long-lasting regional haul ultra-wide-base trailer tire, will be available this spring in a new size – 455/55R/22.5 – as well as the current 445/50R/22.5.
