Yokohama Tire is helping fleets get more from their tires by introducing two long-lasting, fuel-efficient products – the 712L long-haul, deep-tread drive tire and 114R ultra wide-base regional haul trailer tire.
"The deep-tread 712L offers advanced wear resistance, top-tier fuel-efficiency and traction, and tough, durable construction," said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial and OTR product planning. “It’s designed for fleets to keep their trucks rolling for a long, long time.”
Manufactured in Yokohama’s plant in West Point, Mississippi, the 712L long-haul, drive tire offers a deeps 30/32 tread depth and is designed to resist irregular wear. The 712L will be available April 1 in four sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5.
Clauer said the 114R UWB is the successor to the RY407 UWB and will be available in the fourth quarter 2019 in size 445/50R22.5.
Later this year, the popular 902L UWB drive tire will be available in size 455/50R22.5.
Yokohama Tire also announced a new video series to help fleets and drivers understand more about tires and how to take care of them for maximum life. The Commercial ‘Tire Tips’ video series includes six instructional videos created to help drivers identify and prevent tire issues before they become a big problem.
