Con-way Freight has been recognized for its safety record and practices by the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association with a 2007 Fleet Safety Award in the Division IV, Over 5 Million Miles Category.
The less-than-truckload carrier was presented with the award for the second consecutive year at the WMCA Annual Meeting Chairman's Banquet in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
Winners are selected based on factors including miles driven, types of driving, number of accidents and other safety indicators. The awards are sponsored by the Great West Casualty Company, an insurer of trucking companies in the United States, and company representative Pat Kuehl was on hand to present the plaques.
