Volvo says its new production facility in Thailand will enable the company to drop the prices of its trucks in the Asian market by as much as 25 percent.
As a result, it has forecasted a five-fold increase in sales for the year.
The Swedish truck manufacturer has also announced that it has agreed to purchase a 19.9 percent stake in Mitsubishi Motors' spun-off truck division.
