Class 8 truck sales were essentially flat in October, rising by only 1% over the previous month according to an ACT Research report. The regular report, titled "State of the Industry: U.S. Classes 3-8 Used Trucks," covers the entire used truck market.
“The month over month gain came from the retail market which rose 4%, but results were tempered by softer activity in the auction and wholesale segments,” said Steve Tam, vice president of the commercial vehicle sector at ACT.
