Over 36,000 trailers were ordered in November, representing the 4th most orders of all time, according to ACT Research. Trailer orders were up 43% over last year and net orders are up 55% over last November.

The past three months have all seen record trailer orders with numbers in the top ten best months of all time for the trailer industry. October was the best month for trailer orders in industry history with trailer orders up over 90%, brought on mostly by fleets ordering for 2015 in advance. 

Industry backlogs are continuing to grow and are now nearly double that of a year ago and at the highest levels of the current economic recovery.

“The opening months of this order cycle reflect unprecedented strength,” said Frank Maly, of ACT. “September, October and November order volumes are all in the industry top 10, they are also the strongest three consecutive order months in industry history.”
