Former Meritor exec, Timothy E Bowes, has joined Transtar Industries Inc. as its Chief Executive Officer.
Bowes comes to drivetrain product manufacturer, Transtar, after seven years with Meritor Inc. where he most recently served as an Executive Officer and President of Meritor's Commercial Truck and Industrial business unit. Prior to that, Bowes spent 15 years in the automotive passenger car industry at companies including ITT Automotive, Intermet Corporation and Wescast Industries.
"I am very pleased to have Tim join the Transtar team and lead the company in driving the next phase of our business growth," says Bob Keegan, executive chairman of Transtar. "Tim brings excellent leadership skills, a record of outstanding business performance and extensive automotive industry expertise to the position."
Keegan, who acted as interim CEO during the search, will remain as Executive Chairman of Transtar.
