“Android has become the de facto standard when it comes to apps development,” said Sid Nair, director of product management at Teletrac. “The tablet was a critical component to delivering our vision of the next generation logistics management platform.”
The app allows users to access several functions such as two-way messaging, GPS navigation and tools for compliance. It can also file vehicle inspection reports, driver logs and track hours of service. Teletrac believes that 30% of its customer base will move to the Galaxy tablet by 2015.
