STI Holdings Inc. and its operating subsidiary, Stoughton Trailers LLC, has purchased approximately 17 acres of vacant real estate in the City of Brodhead, Wisconsin, in support of its manufacturing plant located directly across the street.
“The Stoughton Trailers Brodhead manufacturing facility is a critical component of our manufacturing footprint,” said Bob Wahlin, president and CEO of Stoughton Trailers LLC.
He said the acquisition "will help strengthen our manufacturing operations and will certainly help us solidify and grow our operations there.”
According to Stoughton, it plans to use the land to support its current manufacturing operations in Brodhead and to provide for potential future expansion should the need arise.
The trailer maker employs over 1500 people at operations in Stoughton, Evansville and Brodhead, Wisconsin. The Brodhead facility employs over 100 in the manufacture of semi-truck trailers for over-the-road truck operations.
