Great West Casualty Co. and the ATA Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council are once again gearing up to host the 2003 ATA Truck and Industrial Safety Contest
and they encourage motor carriers to submit entries before the April 25 deadline.
Last year, more than 100 plaques and certificates were awarded to companies that took the time to complete the forms. Many of these fleets said they didn't realize their statistics were good enough to place, let alone win their division.
Companies finishing in the top three of their category of competition are provided the opportunity to compete for the President's Trophy. This award recognizes fleets for their top-notch safety programs.
Participants also have the opportunity to compare themselves to other motor carriers and the industry as a whole. The more companies participating in this program, the more accurate the data on accidents.
