Ryder pre-owned vehicle can be scheduled for up to four preventive maintenance appointments a year through Ryder’s network of 800 service facilities and 5,900 certified technicians. Customers can choose to prepay or finance the preventive maintenance package along with the purchase of their Ryder pre-owned vehicle. Financing options are offered through Ryder’s relationships with third-party financing providers.
By selecting preventive maintenance services, Ryder pre-owned vehicle purchasers can increase the uptime of the vehicle and secure economical pricing for the full term of the package. In addition, customers receive discounted pricing for any necessary repairs, parts, and tires that may be outside of the agreed to preventive maintenance services.
“Recent customer interactions, market research, and conversations with private fleet owners and other pre-owned vehicle sales prospects have shown that maintenance services packaged with convenient financing options are in great demand as a value-added service,” said Dennis Cooke, president, global fleet management solutions for Ryder. “The new preventive maintenance option provides agility and customization for customers that want greater control, uptime, and a simpler way to finance the maintenance of their fleets.”
The companies also said they plan to coordinate deployment planning across priority freight corridors and define routes and operational design domains for U.S. commercial service while laying the groundwork for expansion into key European markets.
