RWI Transportation has opened a new terminal in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
According to Richard Bauer, executive vice president and general manager of RWI Transportation, the new terminal is strategically located in Dallas to allow the 55-year-old company to effectively service the entire region.
"It also gives us better access to resources to and from the West Coast, and gives us the ability to better source and manage equipment for more options and better service to our customers," Bauer said.
In addition, the facility gives more flexibility and comfort to drivers hauling freight for RWI Transportation within that region. In fact, the terminal has a secured fenced yard, and offers full driver amenities, including showers, laundry cleaning facilities, and a lounge. The company also plans to recruit drivers from the facility. The new terminal is located near downtown Dallas, providing easy access to main freight arteries in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
Gabe Lopez has been named terminal manager/recruitment and retention specialist of the facility. The facility is located at 4551 Leston Rd., in Dallas, near Market Square.
