New Penske Energy to Help Commercial Fleets with Electrification

Penske Transportation Solutions and ForeFront Power have teamed up to form Penske Energy, designed to help commercial fleet operators with electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.

The new venture will combine Penske’s fleet experience with ForeFront Power’s infrastructure and renewable energy development expertise, according to Drew Cullen, senior vice president of fuels and facilities at Penske Transportation Solutions.

“Our fleet customers have come to rely on us for more than just vehicles,” said Travis Hill, a Penske Leasing veteran who has been named the new managing director of Penske Energy, during a press conference at ACT Expo in Las Vegas.

“I know we are a vehicle leasing and maintenance company that our customers rely on us for moving their business forward through technology through data and analytics,” he said, citing Penske’s recent launch of its Catalyst AI fleet management platform. “It’s just another example of how we're moving things forward within the industry.”

A range of solutions are available from Penske Energy, including feasibility studies, funding, engineering, project design and management services and more.

What Can Penske Energy Do for Fleets?

Penske Energy can help fleet operators plan, design, and deploy optimized EV charging infrastructure capabilities that support and safeguard their operations.

It will provide comprehensive EV charging and energy infrastructure consulting, including strategic and operational planning, technology assessment, infrastructure designs, and practical project implementation.

Penske Energy will help organizations through the entire process, from system design, to understanding incentives, to assisting with implementation and ongoing operation.

The company offers expertise in assessing vehicle and route feasibility, tracking EV policy and incentive opportunities, and designing and sourcing proven EV charging infrastructure.

The ForeFront Power team has developed more than 1,500 behind-the-meter and community solar projects, totaling more than 1.1 gigawatt-DC of renewable electricity.

By tapping its network of implementation partners and technology suppliers, Penske Energy can help streamline and simplify EV initiatives for its customers.

A range of solutions are available from Penske Energy, including feasibility studies, funding, engineering, as well as project design and management services involving construction and equipment sourcing, installation, maintenance, and a deep network of trusted and vetted suppliers.
