Kevin Bangston, new head of Daimler Truck Financial, started his career at Daimler Truck North America in 2001 working in corporate finance.

Daimler Truck Financial Services North America will soon have a new president and CEO. Kevin Bangston, currently president and CEO of Thomas Built Buses and Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., will take over as president and CEO of DTFS effective September 1.

Bangston succeeds Richard Howard, who retired effective July 31 after more than 31 years at Daimler Truck North America and Daimler Truck Financial Services. Howard moved to Daimler Truck Financial in 2021 in conjunction with the spin-off of Daimler Truck.

A successor for Bangston at Thomas Built Buses and Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. has not yet been announced. In the meantime, Bangston will continue to support both businesses on an interim basis.

Bangston has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry. He started his career at Daimler Truck North America in 2001 working in corporate finance. His success in various roles led to international leadership positions in Germany, Indonesia, and Japan.
