National Tire Safety Week, which runs through Saturday, is sponsored by the Rubber Manufacturers Assn.(RMA)
and supported by Michelin North America.
The week-long event is intended to remind fleets, owner-operators and truckers in general that regular tire maintenance is important for safety, as well as to maximize tire life, minimize downtime and improve fleet operating efficiency.
RMA and Michelin said they have up-to-date information on tire maintenance practices, particularly the importance of keeping tires properly inflated.
