Millis Transfer, with headquarters in Black River Falls, Wis., recently honored its top three drivers as well as 335 others at the company’s annual safety banquet.
A total of $983,619 was awarded in safety bonus checks, averaging out to $2,936.17 for each driver honored. In addition, Millis management handed out door prizes that included clothing, tools, cash and trips to Florida.
There were three categories for the distinguished Driver of the Year Award. The following drivers were named: Scott Hewitt of Fort Wayne, Ind., Overall Driver of the Year; J.Edward Petty of Calhoun, Ga., Dedicated Driver of the Year; and Harold D. Brown of Warner Robins, Ga., Regional Driver of the Year.
