Lakeville Motor Express, a regional less-than-truckload carrier, has been acquired by Shari K. Taylor Wilsey and Roger D. Wilsey, Sr., who joined the company in 2001 and was LME's vice president of administration and corporate compliance

. Roger Wilsey will assume the position of CEO.

The New Brighton, Minn.-based carrier has been owned and operated by the Wren family for 88 years. It has grown from a one-truck operation serving local farming communities to a 34 terminal operation serving 10 states, including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

In addition to LTL, truckload and supply chain freight services, LME also provides seamless, North American freight services, with a single source of accountability, through The Reliance Network alliance.

"Through the hard work and dedication of all of our past and present employees, LME stands as a true success story in the history pages of the LTL trucking industry," said John Wren, the departing CEO.

The Wilsey family owned and operated Indianhead Truck Lines for over 65 years until it ceased operations in 1997.
