Melton Truck Lines, an air-ride flatbed carrier based in Tulsa, Okla., is now a fleet with 1,000 trucks. Organized in 1989 with only 30 trucks and six employees, the company has grown to a current fleet of 1,000 trucks.
Melton held a celebration for office employees and drivers last week at its headquarters in Tulsa. Melton terminals in Birmingham, Laredo, and El Paso also participated in festivities.
The 1,000th truck is a signature Melton-blue Kenworth T-600 with a special insignia on the side indicating this milestone.
