Hinton Transportation Investments has appointed Robert Lindley president and chief executive officer, as part of a planned transition.
Lindley was previously the company’s president and chief operating officer and has been with HTI for four years. His appointment was set into motion by Robert Hinton, founder and principal owner of HTI, who has run HTI for 35 years. Hinton will remain active in his role as chairman of the HTI board.
“Over the past five years, we have transformed our management team to a young and talented group who will lead our company for the next decade and beyond,” said Hinton. “Robert embodies the values of our family business and focuses on long-term business results.”
Lindley has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, holding various positions at FleetPride including vice president, supply chain, and senior vice president of operations. At HTI, he has worked closely with the company’s long time leaders, Larry Yeager, Al Stabler, and Bruce Black, before assuming the role of president and COO.
“I’m very fortunate to have worked for some of the industry’s greatest people throughout my career,” said Lindley. “We know the winning formula and have many talented people in place at HTI to accelerate our growth moving forward and deliver more value to our industry partners, customers and ownership.”
