Heavy Duty Trucking Exchange has been postponed from its original May 2020 dates to Nov. 16-18, 2020, due to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

In a March 13 announcement on the event website, organizers said, “The safety and health of our attendees and partners is of paramount importance at this time. We have been able to quickly secure new dates with the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch," where the event is held outside Scottsdale, Arizona.

This will be the fourth year for HDTX, a two-day program consisting of one-on-one meetings and focus groups with suppliers, roundtable discussions and sessions on critical topics, and networking and meal functions. HDT’s 2020 Truck Fleet Innovators will accept their awards in a ceremony at HDTX and share their insights in a panel discussion moderated by HDT editors.

Many other trucking-related events have been cancelled or postponed due to the virus, as well, including the Mid-America Trucking Show (cancelled), Truck World (moved from May to June), and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Truck Safety Summit that had been planned for March 19 (no new dates announced yet.)

On March 15, the Centers for Disease Control tonight recommended that Americans cancel or postpone gatherings of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks.
