Heavy Duty Trucking welcomes a new managing editor, Vesna Brajkovic, who brings experience in business-to-business media for transportation.
As of Feb. 1, Brajkovic is working to write trucking news and features, manage e-newsletters and social media, coordinate magazine production, and develop content for events and multimedia such as podcasts and videos.
Most recently, she was associate editor at Progressive Railroading magazine, but previously was associate editor for Fleet Maintenance magazine. She also spent some time as assistant editor at AviationPros. Brajkovic has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, with print and digital emphasis.
"We were impressed by Vesna's writing and editing skills and her goal-oriented approach to her profession," said HDT Editor in Chief Deborah Lockridge. "Her experience covering not only trucking, but also other transportation arenas, will give her a broad perspective to draw from."
Brajkovic joins an award-winning editorial team that features the trucking industry's most experienced staff and contributing editors. She replaces Stephane Babcock, who left the company to pursue another communications opportunity.
