Van Hasselt has a financial background and experience in various commercial and senior management positions in the truck industry. He has served as sales director of Iveco Netherlands, sales director at MAN Truck & Bus in the Netherlands, COO of MAN Region West B.V. and CEO of MAN Camion & Bus SAS, the French-MAN organization.

The U.S. is an important growth market for Groeneveld, both in the on-road and in the off-road sector where Groeneveld supplies automatic lubrication systems and Oilmaster oil management systems, as well as with Greensight safety devices.

Van Hasselt succeeds Michael Womble, who was managing director of Groeneveld USA on an ad-interim basis. Upon arrival of Bert van Hasselt in October, Mike Womble will become responsible for off-road OEM Sales and Key Account Management for Groeneveld USA.
