Owens began his career with Fontaine Trailer at the Kent, Ohio, facility as operations manager in 2003 and became general manager of the Kent facility a year later.

Fontaine Commercial Platform Trailer announces that Karl Owens has been promoted to company president. Owens began his career with Fontaine Trailer at the Kent, Ohio, facility as operations manager in 2003 and became general manager of the Kent facility a year later.
He served as general manager of the Xtremebeam and Fabrication businesses in 2007 and additionally became general manager of the Heavy-Haul facility in Springville, Ala. In 2011, Owens was promoted to VP & GM of Fontaine Trailer Commercial Platform.
Owens has spent the last 30 years in various roles building heavy-duty equipment including buses, trucks, military products and trailers.
