Epes Transport System Inc. a North Carolina-based truckload carrier, announced the purchase of Cargo Logistics located in Charlotte, N.C. Cargo Logistics is an asset-based trucking company with 25 power units and approximately 40 drivers.
Founded in 1998, Cargo Logistics specializes in airfreight, expedited and truckload transportation. Epes will continue operating business through its Charlotte terminal facility.
According to Britt Colley, president of Epes Transport System, the purchase of Cargo Logistics will complement Epes' truckload, dedicated and container business.
Epes Transport System is a truckload common and contract carrier headquartered in Greensboro, N.C. It is the largest privately owned trucking company in the state with over 800+ units. Epes has authority in the 48 contiguous states and is most active in the eastern two-thirds of the United States.
