Fort Dodge, Iowa-based Decker Truck Line has named Dan Welsh as the December Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the flatbed division. Dan resides in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Dean Filmer.
Dean has been with Decker Truck Line since August of 2000 and has been a trainer for the reefer/van division for the past three years. Dean lives in Lake City, Iowa.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
