Decker Recognizes June's Drivers of the Month
Decker Truck Line Inc. has named Rod Irwin as the June 2007 Driver of the Month for the flatbed division. The Fort Dodge, Iowa, resident has been selected for the honor of driver of the month in previous years.
Decker Truck Line Inc. has named Rod Irwin as the June 2007 Driver of the Month for the flatbed division. The Fort Dodge, Iowa, resident has been selected for the honor of driver of the month in previous years.
He has also reached the 2-million-mile mark during his five years with Decker.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Bahne Struecker. Bahne, who lives in Algona, Iowa, also has been selected for the honor of driver of the month in previous years. He achieved 1 million safe miles during his 11 years with Decker.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company. All drivers and owner-operators selected for driver of the month during 2007 are eligible for the honor of 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.

Additional terminals are located in Davenport, Iowa; Mediapolis, Iowa; Mason City, Iowa; Hammond, Ind.; Masury, Ohio; Birmingham, Ala.; and Hutchins, Texas. Decker is a diversified carrier, transporting flatbed, refrigerated and dry van freight to the 48 contiguous states and seven Canadian provinces.
