Continental Tire the Americas has launched the ContiTread HTR, a next-generation retread designed for trailer service in regional and long-haul applications.
The ContiTread HTR retread features a lightweight, durable compound aimed at improving performance in demanding environments. Its tread pattern and rounded shoulder design help resist wear and damage in high-scrub conditions, making it suitable for a variety of fleet operations, according to a news release.
Key Features of the ContiTread HTR Retread Tire
Rounded shoulder design for better resistance in high-scrub environments
New tread pattern to prevent shoulder tearing and enhance stone protection
Heat-reducing compound to preserve casing integrity for future retreads
Available widths from 200 to 240 mm for extended tread life
Optimized for regional over-the-road operations, the ContiTread HTR also performs well in long-haul service. Continental said the new retread is engineered to help fleets reduce downtime, extend tire life, and improve overall operating efficiency.
“The ContiTread HTR represents an advancement in retread technology,” said Shaun Uys, vice president of Continental’s U.S. Commercial Vehicle Tire business. “We’ve engineered it to deliver stronger performance and longer life than the previous HTL model.”
