Rick Suchy, a professional truck driver, achieved 2 million miles of safe driving without an accident. Suchy is a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload freight carrier and the largest subsidiary of Con-way Inc.

He safely drove the 2 million miles between 1985 and 2009, and reached the 2-million-mile mark on February 28, 2009. The company plans to recognize his achievement on April 2 in a ceremony at its Milan, Ohio, service center, where Suchy is based.

"Rick Suchy's impressive accomplishment highlights the personal and professional commitment to safety of those of our employees who go behind the wheel of a truck every day, and who make it their business to demonstrate superior safety performance on the highways, in our service centers and at our customers' facilities," said John G. Labrie, president, Con-way Freight. "Safety is one of our core values, and we congratulate Rick for his extraordinary achievement."

Suchy has been a professional truck driver for 30 years. He was previously honored with an award in 1999 for reaching one million miles of safe driving. Suchy's route takes him from Milan to Gary, Ind.

Over the company's 25-year history, more than 1,280 Con-way Freight driver sales representatives have reached the 1-million-mile safe driving milestone, while more than 90 have driven 2 million miles accident-free.
