Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Houston.
The fast-fill CNG station is open 24/7 to the public, and it will support the fueling needs of over 100 heavy-duty trucks in addition to a variety of other natural gas vehicles, according to the company
“This station is key to our commitment to sustainability and the environment,” said Jeff Dillon, president of Dillon Transport. “Our ability to utilize this station, along with Clean Energy’s entire network of stations, allows us the opportunity to grow as our customers demand cleaner transportation solutions.”
Over half of Dillon Transport’s annual fuel consumption is natural gas.
The Houston station is now the 65th Clean Energy natural gas station located in Texas, and one of the over 550 stations throughout North America.
“We were an early adopter of natural gas and will continue to grow our use of natural gas as the fueling network expands,” said Ed Prichard, vice president of transportation for Silver Eagle Distributors. “The stability of the lower prices and cleaner attributes make it a no-brainer to continue to make the switch and utilize Clean Energy expanding network of stations.”
