Lanter Distributing, a division of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, Nashville, Tenn., has been named LTL/Pool Carrier of the Year by Chef Solutions, manufacturer of refrigerated prepared foods and bakery products.
In late 2003, the two companies worked together to improve Chef's service levels and reduce logistics costs. During 2004, Lanter delivered 2,750 shipments of salads for Chef Solutions in five states. Currently, Lanter provides both TL and pool distribution for Chef Solutions.
Lanter Distributing, a division of OH Logistics, is a founding member of National Distribution Solutions, which provides temperature-controlled transportation nationwide.
