Contract Freighters Inc. (CFI), a Con-way company and international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has new career opportunities available for experienced team drivers to travel dedicated routes originating from Henderson, Colo.
The teams chosen will enjoy a newly improved pay and incentive package, as well as new 2008 Kenworth T660 or 2008 Freightliner Cascadia trucks.
Starting pay for these drivers is 44 cents a mile. There are opportunities to carry placarded loads for an extra 3 cents a mile. The dedicated routes will run between Henderson, Colo., and Pasco, Wash.; Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; Abilene, Texas; and Sapulpa, Okla.
To be eligible for these immediate opportunities, drivers must be experienced, have hazardous materials endorsement and live within a 50-mile radius of Henderson.
The upgraded trucks are available on a first-come, first-served basis to new CFI driver teams. The Kenworth T660 boasts an 86-inch studio sleeper, providing an additional 14 inches lengthwise in the sleeper area. Additional safety and comfort amenities include air-ride suspension, a slot specifically designed for a refrigerator and improved aerodynamics. Similarly, the Freightliner Cascadia offers reduced aerodynamic drag, an open, roomier cab and advanced suspension technology.
