CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced its monthly driver award recipients for October 2006:
• Company Driver of the Month: Francis Untiedt started driving for CFI in 1996.
He lives in Trenton, Mo.
• Company Team of the Month: Larry Howell and Daia Elkins began driving for CFI in 1991 and 1995, respectively. They live in Decatur, Texas.
• Contractor Driver of the Month: Philip Sefiane began his career with CFI in 2003. He resides in Houston, Texas.
• Contractor Team of the Month: William and Victoria Bumgardner began their careers at CFI in 1991 and 1997, respectively. They reside in Boerne, Texas. Both have driven over one million miles at CFI and were named Contractor Team of the Month in July 2004 and July 2005.
As the October 2006 winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2006 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,300 tractors and more than 7,400 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada.
