Celadon Acquires Trucks and Dry Van Trailers from FFE
Frozen Food Express Industries will sell nearly all of the rolling stock from of its former dry van business to Celadon Trucking Services
Frozen Food Express Industries will sell nearly all of the rolling stock from of its former dry van business to Celadon Trucking Services.
In early October, Dallas-based FFE announced it would restructure its dry van services division. The company said at the time it planned to sell its entire dry van fleet of 435 trailers, while reducing the fleet by 290 tractors.
FFE has completed a deal to sell substantially all of the trailers and most of the tractors to Celadon.
"I'm pleased to announce that we have successfully worked with our dry van customers to insure there are no service interruptions during our transition. As stated in our Oct. 5 press release, we will continue to provide dry freight services through use of our refrigerated fleet on lanes that make economic sense for both our customers and our company," said Russell Stubbs, president and CEO of FFE.
