Blackburn Energy Secures Investments for Charging Solution
Blackburn Energy Inc. recently secured funding through a round of investments to fuel growth through sales of its flagship product, RelGen, a patented battery charging solution.

Blackburn Energy Inc. recently secured funding through a round of investments to fuel growth through sales of its flagship product, RelGen, a patented battery charging solution that reduces fuel spend, improves uptime, and cuts emissions, according to the company.
The funds will be used to help the company expand its sales and distribution capabilities.
"These funds will help us expand our sales effort, meet customer needs, and build on our current success," said Andrew Amigo, CEO and founder of Blackburn Energy.
RelGen is a driveshaft-powered kinetic energy recovery system that captures energy usually lost while braking and converts it to electricity to reduce the strain on the battery. The energy can be used to power electric APUs that heat and cool the cabs of long-haul trucks. It can also be used to charge liftgate batteries.
"Of all the factors contributing to poor liftgate performance issues, we see 80% of the issues liftgate customers deal with tie to low voltage," said Anton Griessner, vice president of marketing and development for Maxon Liftgates.
